Parents as Partners

We recognise the importance of us working in partnership with you to ensure that your child’s needs are met and that the transition from home to nursery is as smooth as possible. We operate an open door policy and parents are welcomed into the nursery at all times.

Settling in visits for new children are arranged before they start in nursery and these visits are tailored to your child’s individual needs. The nursery staff will keep you informed about all aspects of your child’s care in a variety of ways.

We are also happy to communicate with you in any way that you find most convenient,  including via e mail and our website.

We are registered and inspected by Ofsted and we were judged ‘good’ in our last inspection on November 19th 2018.

Nursery Policies and Procedures

The nursery has a range of policies and procedures to inform parents and support staff in providing high quality care for your child.

The Nursery Booklet March 2019 can be downloaded here.

The Retention of Information policy can be downloaded here.

Opening Hours

The nursery is open every week of the year, apart from the week between Christmas and New Year (for which you are not charged). We are not open on Bank Holidays (for which you are not charged).  We open from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Changes/Additional Sessions

We will make every effort to accommodate your changing needs regarding your child’s attendance at nursery. One off additional sessions can be discussed and agreed with the nursery co-ordinator. Any permanent changes to sessions must be requested using the Request for Changes to Sessions Form and are not confirmed until the written agreement is received from Cathy Wakely, the Nursery Admissions & Marketing Manager. One month’s notice in writing to her is required for any reductions in your sessions. Initial contracts for children new to the day care nurseries are for a 3-month period; therefore a reduction in sessions cannot be agreed until after this time. A minimum of 4 sessions is required. Cathy Wakely’s direct line number is 0118 918 7653.

Notice to Leave Nursery

A one calendar month notice period in writing is required to Cathy Wakely, Admissions & Marketing Manager if you wish to withdraw your child from nursery. If this notice is not received you will be charged one month’s fees.
